Good story about who owns what, what and where, and who's boss and who can bully you out of your belongings.Who can stop the bullying? Who is brave enough or has little to loose.
What seemed to trouble me the most is one character using offensive words in every sentence he speaks. It got more than a little overbearing after a while. The story was exciting, and captivating, so I kept with it, finally able to skip the offensive word. I'd have given this a 5 star rating otherwise.

I agree the one offensive word which he used time and time again was to much it turned me off he killed a great story.
Very different
So disjointed and broken up it read like a collection of short stories. I was a third of way through it and gave up on any sort of plot line.
I got about 3% into the book until I got completely disgusted with the constant use of the "f" word.
It doesn't happen all that often. A great western story meets a great western story-teller. An absorbing, thoroughly enjoyable, stand-out read.
An enjoyable western story with a good plot. Some westerns you wish didn't end and you could go on reading and reading. This is one of them.
Used the F word too many times. I'm no prude, but it loses any literary impact it might have had otherwise. The protagonists were not sympathetic characters; they killed with an unpleasant efficiency. Those killed were not all "Bad" guys. Some merely got in the way.
I must say however that the story was well written.
